Dial-up Set-up for Windows
XP
- Click on the Start button, go to Control
Panel and "Network and Internet
Connections."
- Click on Internet Options.
- Click on the Connections tab.
- Click on the Setup button.
- Click Next.
- Select "Connect to the Internet." Click
Next.
- Choose "Set up my connection manually."
Click Next.
- Select "Connect using a dial-up modem."
Click Next.
- In the ISP Name box, type "SCRTC
Internet." Click Next.
- The Phone number should be XXX-4638.
Click Next. (Click
here to find an access number for
your area.)
- In the User name box, type your username
(the part of your e-mail address before the
@ sign).
- Your password (i.e., ABC12d) should be
typed in the Password box.
- Retype your password (i.e., ABC12d) in
the Confirm password box. All three small
boxes in this window should be checked.
Click Next.
- Check "Add a shortcut to this connection
to my desktop."
- Click Finish.
