Outlook '97 Mail Configuration

Follow this set-up information for Outlook '97

1. First Click Tools and Services
2. Now the following screen should come up.



3. Now click Add

4. Now the following screen should come up.



5. Make sure Internet Mail is highlighted before clicking the OK button.
6. Now the following screen should come up.



7. For Full Name put your name.
8. For Email Address put your email address.
9. For Internet Mail Server put mail.scrtc.com
10. For Account enter your full e-mail address.
11. For Password type your password and click Ok.
12. Now click Ok on the next two windows then exit out of Outlook. Once you restart Outlook, you can start using the e-mail account that you setup in your Outlook.
 


 

Outlook2000 Mail Configuration

1. Open Outlook2000 and on the menu bar click on "Tools".
2. Next, click on "Accounts"
3. To create a New E-mail Account in Outlook 2000, click on "Add" then "Mail"

The next window will be the e-mail wizard. This wizard will assist you in creating a new e-mail account.

4. The first step is to type in your name as you want it to appear on your outgoing e-mails



5. Next: Enter the e-mail address you set up with a South Central Sales Representative.



6. Next: Enter your mail server names: they should be mail.scrtc.com for POP3 Server and smtp.scrtc.com for SMTP Server. Click Next.



7. Next: Enter your Account name and Password that you set up South Central. Remember that the format for your username is the whole email address (username@scrtc.com).  To enter a password so that it is stored in outlook (meaning, you don't have to retype it each time you log into your e-mail), click in the box beside Remember Password.  Now you can type in you password.



8. Next: Choose the connection type to the internet. If you are using a modem, choose the phone line option. If you are connected to a network, choose the LAN option. If you want to connect manually each time, choose the last option.



9. Final Step. Click on "Finish" and you are done. On the next screen click on "close" and then go check for new mail.

 


Configuration Changes

 

 
Changing Settings in Outlook 2000

1. Open Outlook and on the menu bar click on "Tools".
2. Click on "Services"
3. From the list, click on your SCRTC e-mail account.
4. Click on "Properties".
5. Click on the "Servers" tab at the top of this window.
6. Verify the "Server Information"
        Incoming mail server:  mail.scrtc.com
        Outgoing mail server:  smtp.scrtc.com
7. Click on "OK" at the bottom of the window.
8. Click on "Close"

 

 

Changing Settings in Outlook 2003

1. Open Outlook and on the menu bar click on "Tools".
2. Click on "E-mail Accounts"
3. Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"
4. Click "Next" at the bottom of this window.
5. Select your SCRTC e-mail account.
6. Click "Change" on the right side of this window
7. Verify the "Server Information"
        Incoming mail server:  mail.scrtc.com
        Outgoing mail server:  smtp.scrtc.com
8. Click on "Next" at the bottom of the window.
9. Click on "Finish"
